Wilhelmina Charlmain Johnson earned a MSN in Advanced Practice Nursing, Clinical Specialist and Adult Health in 2002 from the Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing. Upon graduating, she received the Ruth Dale Ogilby award for exceptional academic performance in the master’s degree program.
While employed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, she worked in the Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for thirteen years and the Emergency Department for 5 years. Of the 42 years as a nurse, Charlmain has had the honor of working as a Clinical Director, Quality Improvement Consultant, Outcomes Management Analyst, Behavioral Research Coordinator, Adjunct Faculty member, and International Case Manager.
Currently, she works as a Polytrauma Network Site Case Manager at Center Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond, VA. Educating service members and Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injuries and Stroke is her focus now.
Charlmain is a member of the Virginia National Organization Veteran’s Affairs (VA NOVA). She is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine with 30 CME/CE credits to her name.
Charlmain has a beautiful daughter, Natalie Johnson, with whom she visits often in Nashville, TN.
In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, cycling, and exercising. Her favorite hobbies are Ballroom dancing, raising saltwater fish, and studying God’s word.
